Hoover Dam ByPass Bridge
Construction on the nearly 2,000 foot long bridge began in late January 2005 and the completion of the entire Hoover Dam Bypass Project is expected in Late 2010. When completed, this signature bridge will span the Black Canyon, connecting the Arizona and Nevada Approach highways nearly 900-feet above the Colorado River. To complete this project, A-Core is contracted to perform all of the grinding and grooving services. This work will ensure the project is ready for traffic. The bridge is set to open on the dam’s 75th anniversary in November 2010.
A-Core deserves a great deal of praise for your technical knowledge and positive attitude in performing this work on the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
On behalf of Jacobsen Construction along with the other project management firms of Big-D Construction and Layton Construction that were involved in the overall design and construction experience, we are appreciative of your support to assist in the constructing of this facility. It was especially gratifying to see the members of this organization come together, especially in this time of economic downturn, and work together to build this new facility. We are grateful to be associated with so many wonderful construction related firms such as yours.
I just took the best phone call I’ve EVER taken at CPC. The guy said, “My name is Tim and I just got back from Afghanistan . I just passed one of your jobs here on I84, and one of your pieces of equipment had an American Flag on it and I just wanted to say, Thank you”. I told Tim, Thank you for what he has done for our country. I’ve taken many interesting phone calls over the years, but none have made me feel better than that one. So, thanks for taking the time and effort to display the American flag [on your equipment]. That was awesome!
